Berlin welcomes Vietnam’s handicrafts
A Vietnamese fine arts and handicraft products fair opened in the German capital Berlin’s famous Alexander Square on July 11.
In his opening speech, Trade Counselor Nguyen Thien Binh highlighted the fine relations between Vietnam and Germany over the years and said the fair offers Vietnamese and German businesses a good opportunity to exchange information and promote cooperation.
It is also a chance for Vietnamese businesses to introduce their products, directly interact with international customers, research market demand, and explore the potential for new German partners.
The fair’s 24 stands are showcasing famous fine arts and handicraft products, bamboo and ceramic products, souvenirs, decorations, paper and wooden toys, drinks, tea, coffee, and dried fruits and confectionary.
A map of Vietnam forms the exhibition’s centrepiece, depicting the Truong Sa (Spratly) and Hoang Sa (Paracel) archipelagoes and adorned with conical hats.
Visitors can sample traditional Vietnamese dishes while enjoying music and performances by the Hoa Sen band and overseas students currently studying in Germany.
