According to the Center for E-Commerce Development - Ministry of Trade and Industry , started in 2004 , exports of timber and timber products for the first time exceeded $ 1 billion . Since 2007 , turnover has exceeded $ 2 billion , and only after 3 years , commodity exports have exceeded $ 3 billion . In 2011, Vietnam earned from timber exports $ 3.9 billion , an increase of 14.4 % over 2010 .

 

According to statistics , the first 10 months of 2012, wood exports reached $ 4 billion , contributing a small part of total national exports .

 

On the market , only 9/40 market turnover decreased over the same period last year , less than 30 % . Remaining positive growth markets , such as Greece increased significantly ( 579.04 % ) , Thailand ( 121.66 % ) , Saudi Arabia ( 85.58 % ) . United States and Japan are two markets are highly quality wood products in Vietnam .

 

However, the materials , the import of Vietnam 's timber is quite large , is not active at the material , affect the price of wood products .

 

With exports increasing every year , the export market is increasingly open , export wood and wood products in Vietnam currently ranks sixth in the world , ranked No. 2 in Asia and Southeast Asia head .

 

However, for this industry to become one of the key industries of Vietnam , timber industry requires raw materials initiative , have strong business and capital products to bring high fashion edge .
